If your helper visits home during employment, you need to arrange travel documents, check the Work Permit validity for re-entry, and understand the levy waiver rules. The levy continues to be charged; you can apply for a waiver after her return if the trip was at least 7 consecutive days, up to a cap of 60 calendar days per year. See MOM’s overseas leave page.

The levy continues to be charged while your helper is overseas. After she returns, you can apply for a levy waiver if:
Apply for the waiver after her return through MOM’s eService. The waiver is applied, not automatic.
If the six-monthly medical examination falls due while she is overseas, MOM allows postponement under its stated conditions. Check the 6ME page for the current rules on deferral and what to do when she returns.
Home leave is a temporary trip with re-entry. Cancelling the Work Permit is a different step that requires the full end-of-employment process including repatriation. If she does not return, that becomes a cancellation with its own steps. See end of contract checklist.
For a Filipino helper returning from home leave, an OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) or applicable exemption may be required depending on her updated record and circumstances. The conditions are set by the Philippine authorities, not by MOM. See the contract verification guide for when verification is triggered and what to check.
