MOM levy concession

MOM offers a concessionary levy rate for qualifying households. The conditions differ by category and have specific citizenship, permanent residency and age requirements. Two helpers can qualify for the concession if two eligible persons in the household each meet the conditions. Check the full current rules on MOM’s levy concession page. For current rates, see levy rates and payment.

AIC Home Caregiving Grant (HCG)

The HCG provides a monthly cash payout for eligible care recipients who need permanent assistance with at least three Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as washing, dressing, feeding, toileting, walking and transferring. Additional criteria include the care recipient’s nationality, residence and a means test that considers income and property. The grant has tiered payouts. Check AIC’s HCG page for the current tiers, criteria and application process. Apex does not determine HCG eligibility or process applications.

AIC Caregivers Training Grant (CTG)

The CTG helps cover the cost of approved caregiving courses for the main caregiver of an eligible care recipient. The care recipient must be aged 65 or above, or have a qualifying disability. The main caregiver can include a foreign domestic worker attending an approved course. Course co-payments apply. Check AIC’s CTG page for current eligible courses, providers and co-payment details. Apex does not provide these courses or process grant applications.

Can they be combined?

The levy concession and AIC grants are separate schemes with separate eligibility. Qualifying for one does not automatically qualify you for another. Apply for each through its own official channel: MOM for the levy concession, AIC for the grants.
