Salary and budgeting

MOM does not prescribe a single minimum salary for migrant domestic workers in Singapore; see its minimum-wage answer. Employers must pay at least the salary declared to MOM and meet its payment requirements. Separately, MWO Singapore publishes a SGD 650 (USD 500) monthly floor for covered Filipino contracts processed or renewed from 21 October 2025. A floor, a published reference, an advertised starting figure and your candidate’s agreed salary answer different questions. Compare the actual written offer and check the applicable authority’s current requirements; these are not Apex package prices.

Employers searching for helper salary information in Singapore encounter several different figures from different authorities. They are not competing answers to the same question; they answer different questions.
None of these figures is the other. A Filipino floor does not set an Indonesian salary. An Indonesian reference range does not bind a Filipino contract. And MOM’s rule (pay the declared amount) applies to every nationality but does not itself set a number.
An advertised “from” figure is a starting offer, not automatically a current market average or the salary for your candidate. Ask what the figure covers and obtain the actual written offer.
The salary in your offer is set by negotiation between you, the agency and the candidate, subject to any applicable source-country floor. It reflects the candidate’s experience, the duties, the hiring route (overseas or transfer) and market conditions. Two candidates from the same country with different experience may have different agreed salaries, both above any published floor. Ask the agency to state the agreed salary in the written quotation and confirm it meets the applicable source-country requirement.
Use this worksheet when comparing offers from one or more agencies. Fill it in for each candidate you are considering. Keep it private between you and your household; do not submit personal identifiers through this website.

Singapore has no single government minimum wage for domestic helpers. The salary you see depends on which authority set it, for which nationality, and when.
