Before you pay

Check the agency, the person and the request separately. Open MOM’s EA Directory yourself, match the registered agency and licence, and check the representative’s registration details. Find the agency’s contact independently before confirming an unexpected request. Compare the written quotation, agreement and payment instructions. These checks help you investigate inconsistencies; they do not guarantee a placement or prove that every message is genuine.
Describe the general question. Do not send passwords, Singpass access, identity documents or bank statements.

By APEX Maids Agency Pte. Ltd. · MOM EA Licence 25C3180 · UEN 202547196H. Based in Jurong West and serving households across Singapore. Our website is apexmaids.sg and our phone is 8405 6661.
Use MOM’s official directory rather than a screenshot or a link supplied in an unsolicited message. Match the legal name and licence number, then check the current status and licence category. A similar business name is not enough. A third-party directory can help you find a business, but does not replace the current official check.
MOM’s guidance on licensed agencies and registered personnel says the directory lists personnel names and photographs. Compare the representative’s registration card details with that record: name, registration number and employing agency. An image of a card on its own is not the same as checking the current entry.
Find the agency’s contact through a source you opened independently, then confirm who contacted you and what is being requested. If names or contact details disagree, pause and ask for an explanation; a mismatch alone does not prove fraud. Do not share Singpass credentials or change your Singpass contact details to someone else’s.
SPF’s 15 May 2026 impersonation advisory describes jobseekers being deceived by people quoting genuine recruitment-agency licence numbers. Those were not reported as maid-employer cases. The relevant precaution is to verify the person, not merely the number they quote.
MOM requires a written service agreement with MDW employers. Read the itemised quotation, what each charge covers, and the replacement, refund and dispute terms. Confirm unexplained changes in the payee or payment instructions with the agency before proceeding. This is a practical cross-check, not a promise that a bank transfer can be recovered.
Do not confuse restrictions on charging job applicants with the terms of an employer’s deposit. Use the cost and agreement guide to compare the actual charges rather than assuming every upfront employer payment is unlawful.
Use this worksheet on paper. It collects nothing and sends nothing to Apex. Record only what you need to resolve the enquiry; do not copy identity documents or account credentials.

Apex publishes APEX MAIDS AGENCY PTE. LTD., EA Licence 25C3180, UEN 202547196H, website apexmaids.sg and contact 8405 6661. These are our published identifiers, not a live MOM verification result. Check the current agency and representative separately. Do not confuse a similarly named business with the same agency.
After verification, assess the candidate and terms: use the household brief and interview checklist, or discuss Indonesian and Filipino helper options. Identity checks do not establish a candidate’s skills or current availability.
Official sources checked 23 October 2026: MOM’s directory, personnel guidance and written-agreement FAQ, plus SPF’s impersonation advisory linked above.
A genuine agency licence number does not prove that the person messaging you represents that agency.
